More than a test score!

We wrapped up two weeks of MAP testing - whoohoo!!  (and... the data looks pretty amazing in our early review).  The work continues for our 3rd-5th grade students next week with EOGs.  We are fully confident our students will continue to shine.  While everyday at the end of the year feels like there's another test around the corner, we also remind ourselves that our students are more than a test score - they are set apart by qualities like curiosity, enthusiasm, courage, leadership, creativity, resourcefulness, compassion, humor, motivation, empathy, and humility.  Despite the imperfections of assessment, we also understand assessment can help design academic goals for what our students are capable of achieving in the classroom.  We delicately balance the value of assessment along with the reminder a test cannot measure all of the strengths our students bring into the classroom.  As you review your students' results, rest in the truth that what you do matters - more than any te

It has been a successful Spring MAP Test Administration for 3rd-5th grade students.  Next week, we begin K-2nd grade.  In the depths of spring testing season, things move quickly on the calendar!  There is LOTS happening in the next two weeks.  Work together to stay on top of dates, adjusted schedules, and most importantly to maintain instructional plans to keep your students FULLY engaged in learning!
