FALL BREAK CONSTRUCTION
We will have several contractors on campus during Fall Break to complete asphalt paving, stain finishing in 200 & 300 wings, and punch list items. The parking lot will be closed during Fall Break!
HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH PROGRAM, 10/2
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Bright Star Theater will be performing "Bienvenidos!" on Monday, 10/2 at 1:30 PM in the gym. The show runs for approximately 45 minutes. All teachers should remain with their class during the program. You can find the teaching guide attached to the Stinger Stats email!
2nd Grade Teachers: Please arrive to the gym at 2:10 to pick-up your class. Specialists will bring students to the gym for the performance.
SAFETY PATROL
Student safety patrol will begin on Monday, 10/2. 4th & 5th grade teachers received the students and schedule.
CONFERENCE WEEK PREPARATION
- BY 10/4 – Make a sign-up genius link with your conference week schedule.
- BY 10/4 – Make a Google form for parents to submit questions in advance of conferences.
- ON 10/4 – Email the Fall Conference Week Parent Letter to families, after embedding the two links above into the email. Class emails should ALWAYS be sent as BCC.
- ON 10/13 – Copy your Conference Week sign-up genius link here for front office access.
- Each
family is encouraged to sign-up for a 20-minute conference time.
- Teachers
should create a conference week sign-up that offers conferences a minimum
of 4 days during the week. Be mindful of providing conference times
that are accessible to working families.
- Dismissal
is at 1:10 during conference week.
- The
early release master schedule during conference week can be viewed here.
Team Leaders: If there are challenges with the early release
schedule, please let Carla know.

VISION TO LEARN - GLASSES DISPENSING 10/5
Vision to Learn will be on campus to distribute glasses to students who will receive them! Children will be called to the auditorium to pick-up their glasses.

BOYS SCOUTS BUZZ UP! 10/2
The Boy Scouts will host a recruiting event at WS on 10/2. This will include a VERY brief in classroom visit to share more with students. We tried hard not to interrupt your reading time! Please see the schedule below.
FALL FESTIVAL STAFF CHILDREN TICKET REQUEST!
If you need tickets for your children to attend Fall Festival, please complete the request form below. ALL staff receive FREE tickets for their children to attend this event! Tickets are only required for children K-5th grade. Please make your requests by 10/13.

FIELD TRIP PAYMENTS
The RevTrak store is NOW live! Please include in your next several weekly newsletters reminders to families regarding field trip payments. Field trips can be paid for the year, or before each trip. It is important we gather field trip payments from as many students as possible to ensure these experiences can be provided to our students.
