OPEN ENROLLMENT, DUE 11/3
Open enrollment begins next week! The benefits counselor will be at West Side on 10/16. If you would like to meet with the counselor, please sign-up at the link below.
Reach out to Shelley if she can answer any questions regarding Open Enrollment deadlines. The benefits counselor will be able to answer any questions specific to benefit offerings available to employees.
AFTERSCHOOL ASP/ENRICHMENT CHANGES FOR CONFERENCE WEEK
- As a reminder, there is no regularly scheduled Fall Enrichment next week
- During conference week, ASP will continue to use the current ASP spaces (GYM & Cafeteria). ASP pick-up will also continue in its normal location.
- Homeroom teachers will receive a finalized roster for students who will be attending ASP by the Friday afternoon.
- There are two enrichment camps being held next week. Please see the details below.
- These enrichment camps will be dismissed to the auditorium, like normal, for check-in prior to being dismissed to their locations.

Conference Week
- Next week, the wonderful hospitality committee will have after school snacks set-up in the admin area adjacent to the copy room. Stop by afterschool to refuel before conferences!
Fall Festival
- Fall Festival wreaths are hanging on classroom doors. These will remain hanging until Thursday. On Thursday, the FF committee will pick-up the wreaths from your classroom door.
- We still have several
spots opening for Fall Festival volunteers, including Pie in the Face. 😊
- NO parking on
the lower lot (near the Polk Street exit) on 10/19 for Fall Festival set-up.
- On 10/19, ALL cars should be moved from the Polk Street parking lot by 4:00 PM for Fall Festival set-up. Please ensure your conferences end by 4:00 PM this day. Parking is available at MMS during Fall Festival.
AMBASSADOR MEETING NEXT WEEK
- 4th Grade will meet Wednesday from 12:15 -12:45. An Outlook calendar invite has been sent to all 4th grade teachers as a reminder with the details regarding the meeting along with a roster of students who should attend.
- 5th Grade will meet Monday from 11:30-12:00. An Outlook calendar invite has been sent to all 5th grade teachers as a reminder with the details regarding the meeting along with a roster of students who should attend.

TKES WALK THROUGHS
We will begin our TKES walk throughs next week, hoping to visit all K-5 classrooms before the week of 10/23 (SOR week). We look forward to seeing the fantastic learning happening in your classrooms!

- 10/19 - Earthquake/Shelter Drill @ 10:15am; Secure Drill (not a lockdown, but formerly known as lockout)
FALL GIFTED TESTING BEGINS, 10/30
Denise is preparing for Fall Gifted testing. More than 100 students are eligible for testing during this testing window. Below is the testing timeline.
- 10/16-10/20 - Consent for gifted evaluation given to parents during conferences.
- 10/20 - Signed parent consent for gifted evaluation due to Herman.
- 10/31 - Classroom teachers complete GES rating scales during PLC
- 10/30 - Gifted testing begins (The testing schedule will be shared closer to the testing window).
- 11/17 - Gifted testing window closes.
- Between late December/early January - Gifted testing results returned and eligibility determined.
- 1/8 - MILE begins for newly identified gifted students.
- No MILE 10/30-11/17 due to gifted testing
- 10/27 - TD Session 1 ends
- 12/15 - MILE ends
- 1/8 - MILE resumes
- 1/22 - TD Session 2 begins
FIELD TRIP PAYMENTS
The RevTrak store is NOW live! Please include in your next several weekly newsletters reminders to families regarding field trip payments. Field trips can be paid for the year, or before each trip. It is important we gather field trip payments from as many students as possible to ensure these experiences can be provided to our students.
