Is it Spring Break yet?

YES!!  The answer is, YES!!  You all made it to the most glorious break of the year after months of hard work and student progress.  In the last two weeks, we've shared with teams some remarkable student progress data in reading fluency (K-3rd), writing (4th-5th), and math (2nd-5th).  Clear evidence of the impact you've made over the last several months.  You have earned this break!  When we return, it will be a busy season - remain committed to maximizing the remaining instructional time with students.

Enjoy next week!!

LUNCHROOM VISITOR POLICY CHANGE

Effective, April 8th the lunchroom visitor policy will be changed to allow visitors to eat lunch with their student only at the visitor table.  Students will not be permitted to bring a friend to the visitor table.

1st-5th Grade:  Please take a few minutes to discuss the lunchroom visitor policy change with your class before lunch.  You're welcome to use the script below to assist in communicating the change.

"Beginning today, we will have a new procedure in the cafeteria for lunchroom visitors.  if your parent/grandparent, or other special guest come to eat lunch with you at school, you will enjoy lunch with this guest at one of the visitor tables inside or outside.  To ensure the safety and inclusion of all of our classmates, we will no longer allow students to bring a friend to join them at the visitor tables.  This new procedure has already been shared with all West Side parents, so everyone understands our new procedures moving forward."

PARTIAL ECLIPSE, APRIL 8

As a reminder, outdoor activity (recess/PE) is not permitted after 1:05 PM due to the partial eclipse.
