STINGER STORIES
TALENT DEVELOPMENT, BEGINS 9/9
TD will begin on Monday! Schedules and qualifying students were sent to HR teachers this week. Gifted teachers will pick-up this week for TD.
MATH SMALL GROUP SUPPORT, BEGINS 9/9
Math small group support will begin on Monday. If you have students served by Michelle, Jenna, or Emmalee please share related pacing documents with them to best support your instruction.
UPCOMING PLCs
- 9/10 - Math Small Group Planning, using MAP Data
- 9/17 - OT Strategies (Kinder); W&W and TWR (1st-5th Grade)
- Exterior doors should be
locked, never propped – ALL THE TIME. Staff should be mindful when
the last student enters the building to ensure the exterior door has
properly closed. This will require the staff to stop and look down
the hall to see that the door has been closed. If you see an
exterior door open (and unattended), close the door immediately and notify
administration right away.
- Visitors must always
enter the building through the main front doors and sign in according to
procedures.
- Visitors must always
wear a VISITOR sticker while on campus. If you see a visitor in the
building without a visitor sticker, escort this person to the front office
to sign in.
- Students should be
taught not to open an exterior door for any person.
- It is a best practice
for classroom doors to remain locked to easily secure your classroom in
the event of an emergency.
- If you see a concern, please share with administration ASAP.

This progress report serves as a warning to the child/family to submit assignments before the end of Q1. The grade can be adjusted if work is turned in before the end of Q1. If incomplete assignments are impacting the student’s grade, please note this in the comment section of the progress report. (For example: Christina has __ incomplete assignments that are negatively impacting her grade. Christina has until October 10th to complete all missing assignments in order to update her grade. Following Quarter 1, the grade cannot be changed.)
