Can you believe we are moving into the fourth week of school!  One month has truly FLOWN by quickly.  Next week, we will administer Fall MAP with the goal to learn more about our student's instructional needs and readiness for grade level content OR extension.  If you have any questions prior to MAP, do not hesitate to reach out to Carla or Lindsay.  There's a lot of activity coming up in the next few weeks (Labor Day, GrandPals Day, & more!).  Remember to remain consistent with your daily routines and procedures, communicate schedule changes to students, & maximize your instructional time! Bravo, Stinger Staff!  You conquered your second FULL week of school, kicking off W&W Module 1, vision screening, Amira screening, and Curriculum Night!  Thank you for showing up last night to share your excitement for the year ahead and love for what you do each day.  I know our families left Curriculum Night with a confidence that their child is in the best of hands.  Today, you tackle the first day of reading small groups.  Great work teaching your students the routines and procedures for efficient transitions that maximize your instructional time.  Next week, you'll get right to work with STEPS.  We will take some time on Tuesday to review STEPS expectations and provide your team with time to plan lessons for the week ahead.  The future for your students begins NOW!  Let's make the most of every minute.   Three cheers for 3rd grade - & to every teacher who supported the work along the way and every teacher who came before!!  How lucky are we to have such phenomenal educators helping our students reach their fullest potential!?  We could not be more grateful for the hard work and commitment you put into each day!! As we move into the second full week of school, continue dedicate time for explicit instruction in routines, procedures, and expectations.  If you expect it, pre-correct it!  Are you spending more time in re-direction OR in positive reinforcement/praise (I like the way XXX has cleaned up their materials... thank you, XXX for showing you're ready) and explicit instruction of expectations?  Live in pre-correction more than re-direction.  :)  Next week will also begin the introduction of reading small groups, which comes with its own set of routines/procedures.  Focus on building your students' independence during these times with ...
