48 Hours of FUN!

What an exciting 48 hours at West Side - Fall Festival, Blooper & QU Wedding in Kindergarten! It's been a jam packed two days filled with so much fun and joy!

Thank you for your flexibility as we have managed some plumbing hiccups in the building last week and this week. The maintenance department responded quickly in both situations to get our restrooms up and running again. Yesterday's blockage was mostly caused by a tree root. This section of piping will be repaired soon. Repairs will require trenching the affected area (all pipes outside). Please refrain from walking or parking near the affected area marked with yellow caution tape.

It will be important to maintain consistent routines and schedules in place as we head into a spooky Halloween weekend. Excitement will be brewing, so keep your days filled with engaging, rigorous instruction and your day planned to maximize every minute of instruction.

PTA SILENT AUCTION STAFF RAFFLE!!

PTA is giving away THREE FREE tickets to staff for this year's Silent Auction on 11/17! The event will be hosted at Sessions Stand from 6-8pm with live country music, food & fun! RED RIBBON WEEK, 10/26-10/30

Ms. Rambert & Mrs. Woityra have planned dress up days and activities to celebrate living a healthy lifestyle during Red Ribbon Week!

  • 10/26 - Wear red
  • 10/27 - Wear sports or athletic attire
  • 10/28 - Wear superhero shirts, capes, or colors
  • 10/29 - Wear school colors
  • 10/30 - No special dress/costume

CCYA PJ DAY, 11/2
Students and staff may wear PJs to school on Monday, 11/2 to support Center for Children and Youth Advocay. PTA will place a zip-loc bag in your box by 10/30. Use this to collect PJ day funds ($1.00).  PTA will pick up funds by 9:00AM on 11/2.

3RD GRADE WAX MUSEUM, 11/4
Grade levels are invited to support our 3rd grade students in this year's Wax Museum! Please see the schedule below for visiting.
  • 8:35-8:55 = 2nd grade (use back stairwell to leave)
  • 9:00-9:25 = 3rd Grade Families
  • 1:30-1:50 = Kinder
  • 1:50-2:10 = 1st grade
  • 2:10-2:30 = 5th grade
  • 2:30-2:50 = 4th grade
  • 4TH GRADE:  Swap cafeteria sides during lunch (sit on the window side)

SHARE INVITES FOR NEXT PARENT-2-PARENT SERIES, 11/12

Our next Parent-2-Parent series, in partnership with Andrew Wallace from Atlanta Wellness Collective, is scheduled for November 12 at 8:45 AM. The focus for the session is to build parent confidence and skills to connect with their child through play (think: connection more than recorrection).

Teachers (especially K-3 teachers) are encouraged to email personal invites to 1-2 families that might benefit from this session. You're welcome to copy/paste the message HERE for those families who may find value in the session content.

It's our favorite time of year - Holidays in the Hive!  We love surprising you throughout the month with littles treats and treasures to bring you holiday cheer.  Some teams began the off campus outings today, with more scheduled next week.  We hope you find you find the time for team fellowship to fill your cup.
