Holiday Cheer, OH YEAH!!

We are having a great time spreading holiday cheer to the WORLD'S BEST TEACHERS!!  More thrills and surprises are in store next week.  The week will begin with holiday gift wrapping!!  Let Buddy save you time and leave the gift wrapping to us.  Directions for claiming this treat!!

1.  Drop off your personal presents to the auditorium by 8:30.  That's right - the presents for your kids, spouses, family, and friends!  Pro tip - drop off your presents in a wagon, or large bag.

2.  Label the presents with YOUR NAME & the RECIPIENTS NAME.

3. Pick-up the presents, beautifully wrapped by Buddy's best buds, at 3:30 PM.  Presents will be labeled with RECIPIENTS NAME & YOUR NAME.

Gift wrap is provided, but if you like your presents to match the esthetic of your holiday decor, you can also leave your preferred gift wrapping paper for Buddy & his best buds.

We can't wait to wrap your gifts!!

Q2 REPORT CARD INFORMATION

Please review Lindsay's email with instructions for posting Q2 grades.  THIS DEADLINE IS VERY IMPORTANT!  Review posting dates below.

• Tuesday, December 17:  Specials, SPED Small Group Graded Segments, Gifted, AC ELA deadline for submitting grades.
• Wednesday, December 18:  HR Teacher deadline for submitting grades.  Email admin confirming completion  All errors should be resolved.
• Friday, December 20:  Q2 grading window closed. No more updates.
• Monday, January 6:  Report cards published to ASPEN.  We will NOT be sending home paper copies.

WINTER MAP RESULTS PUBLISHED, TBD

Winter MAP results will be published to Aspen for families in January.  We are trying to get the specific date from CO.  Teachers are strongly encouraged to reach out to parents/guardians via email for students that demonstrated dips in achievement.  It is always best to be proactive in your communication to share this information, your insights as to why this occurred, and your plan to support the student in second semester.

GIFTED RESULTS PARENT NOTIFICATION, 12/18

Ms. Beaman will provide HR teachers with MILE envelopes for students that completed gifted testing on Tuesday afternoon. These envelopes need to go home with students on Wednesday in Beelines.

When we return in January, Ms. Beaman and Ms. Herman will share which of your students qualified and parents’ consented to MILE services and the student’s schedule.

New MILE semester will start on January 13^th. 

W&W M2 EOM TASK, DUE 12/20

By 12/20, please submit to Katy three student work samples from the M2 EOM Task.  Samples should include - one exceeds expectations, one meets expectations, one below expectation.

REFRIGERATORS!

Please empty all personal items from the refrigerators/freezers in common areas of the school by 1:00 PM on December 20th.  At 2:00 PM all remaining items will be THROWN AWAY!

EMPLOYEE CHILD CARE REGISTRATION FOR 1/6

Registration for Employee Childcare Camp on January 6 is now open.  Please see Courtney Morrel’s email below and reach out to her if you have any questions.

We will meet with each team on 1/6 to analyze LDA data, set instructional goals for reading small groups, and review MAP results.  Please meet in Eason's room at the times below:

9:00-10:00 - 3rd Grade

10:00-11:00 - 5th Grade

11:00-12:00 - Kinder

12:00-1:00 - 1st Grade

1:00-2:00 - 2nd Grade

2:00-3:00 - 4th Grade

SPED Staff:  Join with the team you support.

Reading Specialists:  You will meet as a team on Tuesday, 1/7.  Look for calendar invite to be sent.

CLASS HOLIDAY PARTIES, 12/20

Please see the class holiday party schedule below.  Your Room Parent should be reaching out to you to find out how they can help plan the party - with food, crafts, games, etc.  Early dismissal sheets will be provided to each HR teacher.  IMPORTANT NOTE!  If a student is dismissed BEFORE 11:30, they will be counted ABSENT for the day as it is less than 1/2 the school day. We would not encourage 2nd & 5th grade students to check-out early following the class party for this reason.
