MATH PULL-OUT SMALL GROUPS BEGIN, 8/31

Math pull-out small groups begin for some grade levels on Monday. Emails were sent today with this information. If you have concerns about a student who is not receiving math intervention, please reach out.

DRESS DOWN STICKERS

Dress Down Stickers will be placed in teacher boxes on 9/2 - along with a list of students who should receive a sticker. Please put these stickers on student backpack bus tags ON 9/2.

EIP PARENT NOTIFICATION LETTERS SENT 9/3

Parents will receive EIP notification letters on 9/3 via email. If you receive questions regarding EIP, you can direct families to your MTSS grade level contant (Porter: K-2; Maddox: 3-5).

TALENT DEVELOPMENT PARENT NOTIFICATION LETTERS SENT 9/3

Teachers will receive TD student lists and schedules on 9/2. Parents will receive TD notification letters on 9/3 via email. If you receive questions regarding TD, you can direct families to Lindsay. TD begins 9/14.

VISION TO LEARN, 9/8

This year, Vision to Learn will complete vision screening *only* on all students. Screenings will occur in the auditorium. See the attached schedule to Stinger Stats email. Please arrive to the auditorium with you class on time. Students can bring books to read in between screenings.

If an opt-out form is returned to you, please give it to Nurse Nunez.

Q1 PROGRESS REPORTS DUE 9/8

Please read the email sent by Lindsay with directions for preparing Q1 Progress Reports.  All progress reports should be emailed on 9/8.  Remember to email as a PDF.  Complete the Progress Report Record to log the students that received notification for your homeroom each quarter.

GRANDPALS DAY, 9/11

Our PTA GrandPals Day committee is planning a great event for all our GRANDpals!  Please look for additional activity details to come.  The grade level schedule is below.

  • 1st Grade:  9:00-9:30
  • Kinder:  10:15-10:45 (All Kinder paras assist during Kinder lunch. Give Kinder paras lunch during specials)
  • 3rd Grade:  10:45-11:15
  • 5th Grade:  12:00-12:30
  • 2nd Grade:  12:30-1:00
  • 4th Grade:  2:00-2:30
***Include Book Fair shopping time in your 30 minute event time.

TECH TALK WITH MS. VARNER

If you receive a new student this school year and need an another Chromebook, please complete a Tech Ticket (on Incident IQ) to request a device.  Include your name, HR code, and Rm. number.

THURSDAY ICEES!

Mrs. Sharlene is selling Icees on Thursdays.  If students would like to purchase an Icee, they must do so at the start of lunch.  After students are seated, they will not be allowed to re-enter the cafeteria line to purchase.  This means, your students who bring lunch from home should enter the cafeteria line at the start of lunch if they plan to purchase an Icee.

PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE, ENDS 9/9

All classes will earn a recess popscile party on 9/9! Popsciles will be available for teacher pick-up in the auditorium freezer.

PTA DIRECT DONTATION CAMPAIGN! ENDS 9/11

Learn more about the PTA Legacy Project at the video below! ***PTA will place Direct Donation stickers in teacher boxes. Please place these on students on 8/31.

CHROMEBOOK LOANERS
Our Chromebook Loaner process will begin on 8/31 after all Fall test administration.  If you have a student chromebook in need of repair, please complete an Tech Request in Incident IQ and leave the broken chromebook in your cart. 

WSSN!  HOW CAN I ACCESS WSSN EACH WEEK?
WSSN will continue to be broadcast on Monday mornings.  News will begin as soon as our enrichment clubs are selected.

STAFF ABSENCE REMINDERS!

There are THREE steps to follow, if you are going to out unexpectedly.
  1. Text both Carla and Lindsay.
  2. Fill out Employee Leave Yellow form (DIGITAL FORM HERE).
  3. Complete absence in Kelly/Frontline.

It's our favorite time of year - Holidays in the Hive!  We love surprising you throughout the month with littles treats and treasures to bring you holiday cheer.  Some teams began the off campus outings today, with more scheduled next week.  We hope you find you find the time for team fellowship to fill your cup.
